Last week was awesome.
There are 8 missionaries that come to A'dam ward, and right now we're all working with some of the same people. There are various activities throughout the week that we have at the church: monday-FHE with the Yovos, wednesday- institute with the Yovos, Friday- Sports night. And the other days of the week, we are all going and visiting and helping. The elders taught someone last week and he told them that he wanted to be baptized! It's just so cool to see how much his mom loves him and that the gospel is helping him! I love being able to see that.
Tuesday with a member family. The elders ended up having an appointment, so it was just us zusters this week. We had a super fun time and we made an apple tart with the mom. It's funny, throughout the night she would just hand her baby daughter to me and say "hold her" So I felt like a little mommy the whole night. I was wearing a black sweater and the cute little baby ended up spitting up on my shoulder. I took off my sweater, and we ate dinner and went to sit and do the lesson. The other children had gotten little yogurt cups and were eating them throughout the lesson, but as little kids do, one of them got tired of it about halfway through and just set it on the couch, where it promptly spilled....... all over my black sweater! haha that poor sweater was so beaten up by the time we got home. Zr F and I were laughing about how being a missionary is just preparation for being a wife and a mother. I'm so excited for when my own children will spit up on me and pour yogurt on my black sweater. haha just kidding, but really. It's so fun to be with families.
I also think it's ironic how people in the world say they're really open minded, but they're incredibly closed to anything religious or spiritual.
Turkey Bowl was this week and it was awesome! We had a lot of fun.
We're biking to Haarlem today! it's going to be about 2 hours to get there, and I'm sure it'll be gorgeous. We're going to a cathedral there that has one of the biggest organs in europe, and MOZART played on it once upon a time! So that's cool.
I love you all! Be safe and don't get hurt
liefs,
