This week was just so good and I can't believe how fast it all went, I know I say that every week, but whatever. So, First of all, it was Taal Week, where we try to just speak Dutch to each other all week, and it was super fun! I love Taal Weeeek, seriously, I see the most progress with our Dutch with that week. Monday night we stayed in Zoetermeer because on Tuesday it was TEMPLE CONFERENCE! I love the temple. Going to the temple in Dutch is even better. I loved it. Seriously was just such a beautiful day and so good. Zuster Bush and I took a picture at the temple and the wind blew her hair in front of my face, and it gave me a mustache! If you can zoom in it's just wonderful! Can't believe how perfect it is haha After the temple, we all went to Keukenhof--which is a big, famous flower garden-- and it was beautiful. I was on exchanges with Zr Verdegem right after and we didn't get home to Groningen until 11:00 because it's just so far away! I was so tired! You really realize how much your body is used to the missionary schedule when things like that happen. I guess that's a good sign, but it was also funny. |
Wednesday we went through the baptismal interview questions with our investigator friend and it was just really good and she is so perfect. I love her! On Thursday almost all of our appointments were with people who own cats. Now, I've had a growing suspicion that I'm allergic to cats that was almost definitely confirmed by Thursday. I was sneezing a ton and it was just really sad because I love cats! But for the rest, it was a good day as well :) Yesterday was just a crazy crazy good day! 1. We had 3 investigators at church and it was just so awesome! They all came and it's extremely inspiring to see how well the Lord has prepared these women. They all want the gospel so badly and they're just drinking in anything they can get. It's so humbling to be able to experience teaching them! I'm so grateful. 2. God has a sense of humor: we got transfer calls last night and transfers are just so exciting and stressful because of change. So we were all sitting on a train coming back from a dinner appointment, when the Groningen 1 elders got a phone call from President because they're both being called as Zone leaders (which means they're white washing Groningen elders!) And then Groningen 2 elders got a call from the APs because one of them is going District Leader. So with all of this excitement and change, they were laughing that I was going to be called as Sister Training Leader. And I said, "haha Nah, I don't think I'm ready for that calling!" (I said that same thing to Zr Verdegem while we were on exchanges.) Literally five minutes after we got off the train, we were biking home and our phone started ringing, and it was President, and he called me to be sister training leader, staying in Groningen with Zr Kimmons... We just basically died laughing after hanging up and I just know that Heavenly Father probably laughed when I said that on the train. Oh dear it was funny. 3. We had Mexican food at our dinner appointment, and it was delicious. I guess all I can do is testify that Heavenly Father knows us and knows everything we say and do and has a plan for each of us! This is going to be a fun transfer, I can't wait! liefs xoxo Zuster Watts |
