Exchanges with Zr Romney were also really good. She was trained by Zr Bush, so of course she's amazing and we get along really well :)
We were at our investigator’s this week and she had a few friends over, but she took us into the other room and was determined to have a lesson. We'd prayed to start and were following up on her questions or concerns about the Word of Wisdom, when one of the friends of her boyfriend came into the room and he started asking us all kinds of questions. It was a really cool moment where we just shared the message of the restoration as well as parts of the plan of salvation, AND she was helping us teach things she'd had questions about!
He asked at one point, "If there's a God, why are there so many bad things that happen, why is there pain?" And she went on to explain about Adam and Eve and how they had a worry-free life in the garden of Eden, but they couldn't grow and learn there. They couldn't progress. She had the same question in one of our first lessons with her and it was super cool to experience her answering someone else who had the same one she'd had earlier.
She's still praying about a new baptismal date. It's been wonderful to see her interest and sincere need to know answers to her questions. I'm going to miss her!
Also at another friend’s house we were planning to teach her about the second half of the plan of salvation (she gets a little distracted :) ) But then the lesson moved into the direction of baptism, and she said she would be baptized on the 16th of September! That's not a Saturday, so we'll have to work with that a little, but it was a very exciting lesson for us. The spirit was very strong. :)
We had interviews with President and Zuster Robinson this week and they were just as uplifting as always! They always give such insightful advice about investigators and ways to help the sisters. I'm so grateful for their influence in my life and my mission! Zr Robinson talked to me about being a support for Zuster Bunnell (The new mission president's wife) when she gets here and just loving and encouraging her, as well as the newer sisters.
I'm getting transferred to Arnhem on Wednesday to be with Zuster Ramirez. She's from Argentina and lived in Rotterdam for a little bit before she came out. I'm supposed to help her learn Dutch and English :) And now I'm wishing I could remember my little baby bit of Spanish from High School! Good thing the gift of tongues is real! haha :) I'm very excited for this coming transfer. ^_^
I've had a dishwasher and dryer so far my whole mission, so I'll keep you updated on if that changes... haha
Zuster Kimmons is getting Zuster Fredrickson :D They are going to love each other!
It's been so rewarding and humbling to be able to serve the sisters. I'm going to miss the ones here in Apeldoorn Zone, but I'm also beyond excited to meet the ones in Eindhoven zone. I've learned so much about gratitude, charity, and trusting in the Lord this transfer. It's really taught me a LOT.
Being a missionary is my favorite thing ever. There was a cute American family visiting our ward yesterday and their oldest daughter is leaving on a mission in July to Brazil, and we just raved about missions to her and told her over and over how amazing it is to be here 24/7 to be God's servant. We loved talking with her and it really made me realize how much I'm loving my mission, and how rewarding it is. I've never learned so much in such a concentrated amount of time and the lessons keep coming and it's all-around incredible.
I love you family! I pray for you every day :)
VEEEEEEL LIEFS, Zuster Watts
