It feels like transfers were more than just a week ago. Gosh. Time is the worst. But yeah, my last day in Groningen was lovely. We went to a dinner appointment with this cute older couple in the ward who were just the funniest, most hospitable couple and we had a great time together.
Wednesday morning, Marjan surprised us at the station to say goodbye before we got on the train! It was such a blessing because she couldn't be at church on Sunday (her dad's birthday), but at the same time a bittersweet moment. I love her so much and will miss her a LOT. She gave me a cute little card. I thought I was going to succeed in not crying, but then we got my bike and suitcases situated on the train and Marjan walked away (after hugging us each three times) and then it hit me how much I LOVE Groningen and how much I'm going to miss all the people there! I may or may not have cried... a lot... haha
But then we were on the train for a few hours and *poof* new world!
Arnhem is a great city. It's beautiful, the branch is sooo sweet, and my companiero is awesome. Zr Ramirez is 24 and is from Argentina, but lived in Rotterdam for 2 years before coming on a mission. She's hilarious and at the same time is so focused and mature. I adore her! She's so brave too. She came on a mission without any time in the MTC, which means she didn't know any Dutch and hardly any English before she started out. With that in mind, I'm amazed by how much she's learned in the 6 months she's been here! I am so inspired by her every day. She's always asking me new words and I'm trying to also learn some of them in Spanish :) Who knows, maybe we'll both be fluent in the other's language by the end of this transfer?
A lot of our investigators right now are Spanish speaking as well, so that's fun :) I don't know all of them yet, but it's been a good balance so far of Dutch and Spanish.
The library is about to close so I'm going to have to finish this up quick,
But I just have felt more than ever in this past 5 day period that Heavenly Father is supporting us every day with His grace and His love. I know He is there and I know that this church is His true church!
So much more to tell, but I'm literally going to get kicked out if I don't leave haha Hopefully I'll get more time next week.
Thank you so much for your love and prayers! It means a lot!
veeeeel liefs
Hermana Watts ;)
