Exchanges always bring miracles, and one of those was that we taught this girl that is an investigator there and the spirit was so strong that we were all brought to tears a couple times and it was SO good! She's definitely one of the coolest people I've met here. Zr Faasavalu and I went park contacting later in the day and just before we went in for dinner, we got ice cream from a little ice cream cart. We talked to the old lady who was dishing up and she gave us an extra scoop when she found out we were from the church! We gave her a card and she was super cute!
Also Zr Faa gave me a ukulele! miracles!
MLC was just as wonderful as ever and it always gets me so excited for the next transfer! Next transfer we're focusing on chapters 7 and 11 of PMG and it was really motivating and awesome. We talked about preparing our investigators to make and keep commitments and giving them a reason to want to change their lives. It was so good!
After MLC, we were trying for about 3 hours to get out of Den Haag but things just kept going wrong with the bus, then the tram, then the metro, then the train, so instead of getting home at 6 like we'd planned, we didn't get home until 11. gosh we were so tired! haha
This week we coincidentally ran into a lot of investigators on the street, and it was really cool to see that God was looking out for them. We were able to make some appointments and had cool lessons with them.
Sunday, we went out to this little village outside of Arnhem to go to a lesson with a lady, but when we got to her house, her husband answered the door and said she was sick, so we'd have to come back another time. Looking back, we were very blessed to be able to be positive about the situation and we were guided to a street close by that we knocked until the bus came to go back. Nobody was interested, but then finally the last door we knocked was a young guy who actually took a Book of Mormon and texted us that night to make sure he had the right number! MIRACLES!
I know that if we do the work, and just trust, that we will see miracles. I re-read the 4th missionary talk this week and I've been really focusing on putting my heart into the work, not just my mind and my might. That makes all the difference and it makes you happy:)
I love you all and I hope you have a great week!
