On Tuesday we went to look up this referral, but when we got to the street, Zr Ramirez realized that they'd already been to look him up last transfer and he wanted a kinder Boek van Mormon (with the pictures) for his children. So we went and did finding instead and we got let in by this cute muslim woman. We talked with her for a while and left a Book of Mormon with her and then got let in a couple doors later by this cute Dutch lady who was super positive. We're seeing lots of miracles with finding right now. :)
We had combined Zone Training this week in Antwerpen, and President and Zuster Robinson spoke to us in parting. This is their last transfer, so President Bunnell and his wife are coming in at the end of this month. They gave some very good advice. Zr Robinson spoke to us about the temple and how we need to focus ourselves on the temple. We read through D&C 109 about the blessings of the temple and with every single one of the blessings listed, I just kept feeling how important it is to go and keep going to the temple! She is a powerful teacher, and I've learned a lot from her :)
President talked about accountability. He's always encouraged us to make our nightly prayer a prayer of accountability, where we are 100% honest with the Lord about our efforts that day and that way we will stay on track and make the small course corrections we need to make daily. One of his slides said, "I am 100% accountable for 100% of the results in my life 100% of the time" It was a great talk. He also pointed out that when we have the mindset that we are victims, we are giving our agency away! We fought a battle for our agency before this life, and we can't just give it away and pawn off the responsibility that comes from agency the second it becomes uncomfortable to do so. I learned a lot.
There are 30 elders going home this transfer, so in our joint two-zone meeting, there were 9 or so elders that bore their "dying" testimonies. They were really good and I was just reminded of how much of a blessing it is to get to serve here in this mission at this time in my life. It's been my dream my whole life to serve a mission, and now I'm here! I'm literally living my dream right now. That was a lovely reminder. :) I've never grown so much as I have in the past 10 months. I love being a missionary! (even though I've got the funniest tan lines on my feet right now haha)
Love you guys, and HAPPY FATHERS DAY DAD!
